Yes, the older Menopause for Athletes course, and its replacement, the Menopause 2.0 course, were both designed to be understood by non-science learners with added content for coaches and medical professionals. Everyone who has worked diligently through the course has understood enough to have gained valuable knowledge from the experience.
 

Yes, think of Next Level as your textbook for learning about menopause. However, the Menopause 2.0 course extends you much further. 
ROAR is nothing like these courses; compared to that book, it will be mostly new material.

These courses are presented by Stacy, who uses her casual style and informative audio-visuals to make sometimes complex concepts understandable and enjoyable to learn.

My big courses (Meno 2.0, WANSM) are more holistic and much bigger. They take you on a journey of learning through many stages to give you the whole picture, whereas Microlearning courses are all about learning one particular thing in much greater detail.

This one really depends on what you want. 

• If you wanted to dip your toes into our products, then you can do so with Microlearning at a relatively low cost. It is a safe way to see how we present information and the standards we aim for.
• If you have some knowledge and want to fill in the ‘holes’ then you can pick and choose which Microlearning you need when you need it.
• If you want to be taken on a journey of learning through multiple topics that are all created and arranged to give you a fuller picture of women’s physiology, then a 'big' course is for you.  Then you can see what extra learning you want to do and do some Microlearning Units in the form of a Collection from then on.

Unfortunately, the system we use (www.kajabi.com) does not have the concept of a shopping cart like a true online store. Although we can create an Offer by grouping multiple products together (for example, the 4 Microlearning Collections on Supplements and our Microlearning PLUS subscription), you can’t pick and mix your own selection, you need to purchase them one Offer at a time. Fortunately, this is a quick process and Kajabi has indicated that they will develop a cart type store, but it could be some time off.

Yes, you can access all the Microlearning Courses for as long as we are in business for a one-off payment.  It's called the Microlearning Pack. 

In our context, a Microlearning Unit (MLU) is a 7-15 minute ‘nugget’ of learning, typically delivered as a video. When you get a group of these MLU’s together they are called a Microlearning Course/Collection (MLC). Typically, we have 4-6 MLU’s in a Course/Collection, plus other learning material to support them such as interactive activities, reference lists, FAQ’s, etc.

Unlike our big Courses, Microlearning are for sale as soon as we make them, and they stay on sale. This fits with one of the definitions of microlearning which is to do the learning when you need and/or want to. Plus, you have access to the courses you have purchased for as long as we offer them without any recurring payments.

Conversely, our courses are released on certain dates (about 3 times a year) and have cohorts that go through the learning together. Purchasers of the courses have access to the material for a year.

Some do call them Microlearning Courses or Mini-Courses, and others don’t. We have chosen to distinguish our ‘big’ courses (i.e., Women Are Not Small Men, Menopause2.0, and more coming!!) as big Courses and these products as Microlearning courses. 

Maybe/Not really/It depends. If a big course was planned to be made up of Microlearning Units from the start, and it has supporting material, multiple chapters, etc., you could potentially make a course. However, the Microlearning courses we make are designed to be standalone collections from the start and not be part a part of a course. Similarly, the courses we make are designed to take you on a journey of learning that passes through multiple stages.

Not in general. Some of the Microlearning Units (MLU’s) are covered superficially in parts of the big Courses, but generally, the MLU’s are deeper dives into specific topics. Basically, you can’t make up the Courses by doing lots of MLU’s and, conversely, you can’t get all the info of the MLU’s in the big courses. 'Big' Courses are bigger and cover lots of topics and sometimes they don’t need too much detail to get the concept across. Whereas Microlearning Courses are deep dives into very specific topics.

Each Microlearning Units (MLU’s) are videos that usually last about 7-15 minutes. A topic collection typically has 4-6 units, plus other learning material to support them such as interactive activities, reference lists, FAQ’s, etc. We design it so a Microlearning course takes about 3 hours to complete.  Of course, you can revisit it anytime and as many times as you want to really reinforce the learning.

We can’t say forever as we won’t be around forever, but we can say you will have access to the individual courses you have purchased for as long as we are in business. You won’t have to pay for them again. Having said that, if we make a new one on a similar topic, you will have to pay for that.

If you are a subscriber of the Microlearning PLUS, then you have access as long as you are a paid-up subscriber of good standing.

Microlearning typically uses Badges rather than Certificates. We are using the industry-standard accreditation system, Accredible, to deliver a Badge for each Microlearning you complete. You will apply for the badge on the last page of each Microlearning. Once you have submitted your application, an email will be sent to you with a link to the electronic Badge. You can collect all the badges, add them to website, social media, LinkedIn, your email signatures, and print them out.

If you can’t find your notification email, please make sure you check you Junk/Spam folder as some have been ending up there.

To watch all the module videos, do the supplementary educational material, and watch all the Facebook Live Q&A’s will be about 30 hours of your time over the 8 weeks (7 Modules, 85 Chapters). You could spend many more hours of additional learning by going through the resources that will be supplied to you. For the duration of the course, you will also have unlimited access to the private Facebook group where you can talk with your fellow students.  You have access to the online educational material for 1 year.

NOTE: Dr. Sims will not be answering questions via Facebook, you will submit your questions underneath the Chapter as you work through the course, and she will answer them in five 1-hour Facebook Live sessions.

All questions to Dr Sims for the Women Are Not Small Men course must be submitted using the Questions area at the end of each Chapter.  We will collate them all up and then Stacy will do a Facebook Live session to answer them live.  This session is also recorded and available as part of the course contents.

NOTE: Dr Sims will not be answering questions in the private Facebook group.  This Facebook group is only for community discussions.

Basically yes, but you will not be able to communicate with your fellow class members. The course material (videos, text, etc) for the Women Are Not Small Men Course is delivered on a very good system called Kajabi (www.kajabi.com). Understandably some people are not happy being on Facebook. If you are not on Facebook, you can still see replays of the Facebook Live sessions with Dr Sims as those videos are put into Kajabi. The only thing you would miss out on is the communal aspect. We are constantly looking to improve our systems so any other ideas would be considered.

We have people from all over the world doing the courses, from Dubai, to South Africa to Australia and the UK and the US. If you can’t make the live broadcast, the way to be involved in the Facebook Live sessions is to submit your questions in the Question area at the end of each Chapter a few days beforehand and then watch your answers being explained by Dr Sims on the replay on our learning system (called www.Kajabi.com). Not being able to watch the live sessions is not such a big disadvantage at all.

Everyone who has purchased the WANSM course gets access to the content, and any newly added content, for a year from the date their cohort started.

PLUS we now have a WANSM Continuing Ed option where you can get continued access after the first year. For a yearly fee, you will get access to all of the learning material plus any new material we add, which includes any updates to the content videos, supplementary learning material, and the Facebook Live sessions from each new cohort. Every WANSM video (content and Live) we have ever made, we have put into a database where you can search for keywords within the entire library and then click on the result(s) to see that segment of the video. The tool is called Searchie and revolutionizes how you can search a library of videos for specific key words.

If you choose to subscribe to the WANSM Continuing Education, your account will be moved from your current WANSM product (e.g. Nov-2019, Jan-2020, March-2020, etc) to the WANSM Continuing Education class. The only thing you will notice after the move is that your progress bar is back to zero. There will not be any FB groups or any FB Lives for you, but on a year by year basis you do get access to the videos from ALL the other past and future FB live sessions.

If you want to eat well, take some medications, and do a few walks, then this course is NOT for you. If you want to eat well, perhaps take some medications if needed, and exercise with purpose and intensity, then this is the course for you. Stacy uses exercise, stress, and nutrition to create a stimulus for adaptation the way our hormones used to. She includes heavy resistance training and intensive exercise a couple of times a week to do this.
